Police chief tells of 6km car chase before shooting
“I will contact Attorney-General Tan Sri Abdul Gani Patail and inform him about our request and I hope if an inquest is called it will put an end to all allegations and accusation against us,’’ he said after visiting the crime scene yesterday.
Selangor police chief Deputy Comm Datuk Khalid Abu Bakar, who accompanied Musa, later briefed the IGP on what and how the shooting occurred.
Musa said he was informed that the car driven by Aminulrasyid and the police patrol car were involved in a 6km chase.
He said furthermore the area where the chase started – in Section 11 – was where house break-ins were rampant.
He said that when the patrol car spotted the speeding car at 2am they did what they had to do – that is give chase and order them to stop.
“A motorcyclist was also injured in the process when his machine was involved in an accident with the car driven by Aminulrasyid.
“Despite the accident, the chase continued. Obviously, it would have created a lot of suspicion in the minds of the officers,’’ he said, adding that the motorcyclist sustained injuries to his hands and leg.
Expressing his sadness over the incident, Musa said the public should not misconstrue his statements as protecting his men.
He said, like everyone else, he too wanted to see justice done to those involved.
“I appeal to the public, including politicians, not to politicise the matter as it is doing more harm then good.
“Let the law take its course,’’ he said.
To a question, Musa said police would request that the authorities review the decision to reject a police proposal to have patrol cars fitted with video cameras to record incidents during patrols.
He said police had submitted their proposal in 2006 but it was turned down due to lack of funds.
A new eyewitness in the case has stepped forward and lodged a police report over the matter, RASHITHA A. HAMID reports.
The witness, believed to live close to where the shooting took place, lodged a report at the Shah Alam police headquarters yesterday.
Khalid, who declined to comment on the identity of the witness, said police had recorded statements from more than 20 people on the shooting.

‘‘Rakyat harus maklum beta tidak menghalang rakyat dari negeri lain datang ke Selangor untuk bermastautin atau mencari rezeki.
“Bagaimanapun mereka hendaklah mematuhi peraturan dan undang-undang di sini dan tidak mempertikaikannya kerana ia diwujudkan untuk keselamatan, ketenteraman dan kesejahteraan rakyat.
“Sekiranya seseorang itu tidak bersetuju dengan peraturan yang telah ditetapkan di Selangor ini, maka hendaklah beliau mengelakkan diri daripada datang ke negeri ini,” titah baginda.
Baginda bertitah demikian semasa merasmikan Sekolah Agama Menengah Tinggi Sultan Hisamuddin yang dulu dikenali dengan nama Sekolah Agama Menengah Tinggi Jalan Kota Raja Klang di Kampung Jawa di sini hari ini.Hadir sama Timbalan Perdana Menteri, Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, Menteri Besar, Tan Sri Khalid Ibrahim, Pengarah Jabatan Agama Islam Selangor, Datuk Mohamed Khusrin Munawi dan pegawai-pegawai kerajaan negeri.
Titah Sultan Sharafuddin, larangan penggunaan masjid dan surau di negeri ini sebagai tempat berpolitik bertujuan menjaga kesucian dan keharmonian tempat ibadat orang Islam.
Baginda menjelaskan, ini kerana masjid dan surau merupakan tempat umat Islam berkumpul melakukan amal ibadat di samping mengeratkan silaturahim sesama mereka.Titah baginda lagi, sekiranya masjid dan surau dibiar digunakan sebagai pentas kempen politik, dikhuatiri ia akan disalah guna dan dicemari dengan perbuatan mencaci serta memfitnah yang akan menyebabkan perpecahan di kalangan umat Islam di Selangor.

Baginda seterusnya bertitah, pada zaman Rasulullah, masjid digunakan untuk menyedarkan dan menyeru umat Islam supaya mengukuhkan perpaduan kerana pada ketika itu mereka diancam dan diserang musuh.
Titah baginda, masjid adalah tempat yang paling sesuai untuk berlindung dan Rasullullah tidak pernah menyebar fitnah atau menghina orang lain di dalam masjid sebagaimana yang berlaku sekarang.
‘‘Justeru, adalah tidak munasabah membandingkan peranan Rasulullah menggunakan masjid untuk berpolitik dengan keadaan sekarang yang mana ahli-ahli politik mengambil kesempatan menggunakan masjid sebagai platform untuk menyebar agenda politik masing-masing.‘‘Pada zaman Rasulullah juga tidak ada kemudahan-kemudahan lain untuk berceramah mengenai politik seperti stadium, balai raya, pusat konvensyen dan juga dewan serbaguna.
‘‘Berceramah di tempat-tempat tersebut dan jangan menggunakan masjid sebagai tempat untuk berceramah politik,” titah baginda.

“As a rule of engagement, policemen are trained to use their firearms in self-defence but it also depends on the situation.
“A weapon does not mean a gun, knife or parang. A speeding vehicle which can be used to plough into policemen is also a dangerous weapon. It can endanger the lives of enforcement officers and other road-users,” Musa said.
The IGP also questioned if it was okay for culprits to do whatever they wanted while police simply sat back and did nothing.
“If people do not want the law to be enforced, then I shall instruct my men to refrain from stopping cars or from going after illegal racers,” he said after attending a blood donation drive in conjunction with the 203rd Police Day celebrations at the National Blood Bank yesterday.

Several shots were fired by police at Aminulrasyid’s car tyres to force him to stop. One bullet, however, hit the schoolboy in the back of his head. He was killed instantly, while his friend, who was in the front passenger seat, escaped on foot.
The incident occurred some 100 metres from the victim’s home in Section 11/2G, in Shah Alam.
The schoolmate, it was learnt, ran back home and later attended Aminulrasyid’s funeral. It was at the funeral that he was pointed out to police who urged him to lodge a police report.
The victim, a student of SMK Section 9, in Shah Alam, is also the youngest of eight children.
Police had earlier claimed that they found a parang in the victim ’s car but allegations that Aminulrasyid could have been involved in illegal activities were roundly rejected by his family, teachers and schoolmates.

Funds for Chinese: BN fulfils pledge, hands over RM to Rasa school
PUTRAJAYA: Barisan Nasional will not punish the Chinese community for their lack of support in the recent Hulu Selangor parliamentary by-election but is hoping that they will back the ruling party in future.
Prime Minister and BN chairman Datuk Seri Najib Razak gave an assurance that no community in the country would be sidelined.
He also made good yesterday the promise he made during the by-election to SJK (C) Rasa by handling over RM3 million for the refurbishment of the school, including its expansion.
The allocation was approved on Monday, the day after BN candidate P. Kamalanathan wrested the opposition seat with a 1,725 vote majority.
Najib said he wanted it on record that BN would fulfil its promises.
The people must know that it is a party they could rely on and trust to meet their expectations and aspirations, he said.

"We don’t just sweet talk but take action to address people’s problems.”

Abu Seman to oversee probe into death of Aminul Rasyid Amzah

KAJANG: Deputy Home Minister Datuk Wira Abu Seman Yusof will monitor investigations into the death of 15-year-old Aminul Rasyid Amzah, who was shot dead by police during an incident in Shah Alam on Monday.
Home Minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Tun Hussein said his deputy Abu Seman would supervise the investigations to see that there was transparency.
“I, too, am shocked. I will not make any judgment until the matter has been thoroughly investigated and I appeal to the public not to listen to or speculate on confusing comments that are not based on the truth.
“My deputy will monitor investigations to ensure they are transparent so that the people will know what actually happened,” he told reporters after attending a luncheon with members of the Malaysian Prisons Visitors Board at the Kajang Prison yesterday.

Muzafar, the owner of the Proton Iswara that was driven by Aminul during the shooting, said police questioned him on Sunday night about the car used by his wife before the incident.
He said it was only when police contacted them after the shooting that he and his wife realised that Aminul had driven the car to visit his friends without their knowledge and consent.
“We believe Aminul panicked when he saw the police patrol car as he did not have a driving licence,” he said.

One of the policemen fired four shots, one of which killed Aminul.

KAJANG: The home minister has ordered a full-scale investigation into the death of a 15-year-old schoolboy who was shot by police after a car chase in Shah Alam early on Monday.

Blitz against 'givers': MACC wants civil servants to report all bribery attempts
PUTRAJAYA: The heat is now on members of the public who try to buy their way out of trouble with enforcement officers.
The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission has begun a nationwide blitz against these offenders.
MACC Chief Commissioner Datuk Abu Kassim Mohamed said MACC was now giving equal focus to “givers” and “receivers” because most people arrested for corruption were those who received bribes.
But more “givers” are being nabbed over the past three years.
From 2000 till last year, 866 members of the public were arrested for attempting to bribe civil servants, 90 per cent of them from enforcement agencies.
Since the beginning of this year, 16 have been brought to courts or are waiting to be prosecuted.

MACC’s number two, Datuk Mohd Shukri Abdull, said the difference in the numbers showed that civil servants had begun to reject corruption and report such attempts to MACC.
Shukri said MACC was also pushing for deterrent sentences as corruption was responsible for the immense amount of drugs and notorious criminals entering the countryUnder Section 17(b) of the MACC Act, those giving bribes can be jailed up to 20 years and fined not less than five times the bribe or RM10,000, whichever is higher.
Abu Kassin said MACC officers would have their eyes and ears to the ground to catch offenders red-handed.
He said MACC would work with enforcement agencies to "trap" offenders when the need arose.
Abu Kassim spoke to reporters after the launch of the "Let's Make a Change, Fight Corruption" campaign by Chief Secretary to the Government Tan Sri Mohd Sidek Hassan here yesterday.
Also present were heads of enforcement agencies, Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Musa Hassan, Customs director-general Datuk Seri Ibrahim Jaapar and Cuepacs president Omar Osman.
Sidek, in his speech, reminded heads of department against the culture of "wanting to be popular" by not taking action against corrupt fellow officers.

Shukri said MACC was also pushing for deterrent sentences as corruption was responsible for the immense amount of drugs and notorious criminals entering the countryUnder Section 17(b) of the MACC Act, those giving bribes can be jailed up to 20 years and fined not less than five times the bribe or RM10,000, whichever is higher.
Abu Kassin said MACC officers would have their eyes and ears to the ground to catch offenders red-handed.
He said MACC would work with enforcement agencies to "trap" offenders when the need arose.
Abu Kassim spoke to reporters after the launch of the "Let's Make a Change, Fight Corruption" campaign by Chief Secretary to the Government Tan Sri Mohd Sidek Hassan here yesterday.
Also present were heads of enforcement agencies, Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Musa Hassan, Customs director-general Datuk Seri Ibrahim Jaapar and Cuepacs president Omar Osman.
Sidek, in his speech, reminded heads of department against the culture of "wanting to be popular" by not taking action against corrupt fellow officers.
He also said while many civil servants rejected corrupt practices, they often failed to report bribery attempts.
Anti-corruption laws, he pointed out, spelt out clearly that any attempts at bribery must be reported.
Sidek honoured eight personnel from various enforcement agencies who had turned down bribes of tens of thousands of ringgit offered to them and instead arrested the givers.
They included senior criminal investigation officer Azam Ismail, who declined an offer of RM20,000 to let off a fellow police officer who was booked for soliciting money from a suspect.

Keseimbangan dalam kehidupan - Sedikit coretan
Keseimbangan perlu dalam hidup ini. Tiga aspek perlu dapat perhatian. Agama, Kerja dan Keluarga. Ketiga-tiga ini penting dan perlukan keseimbangan. Dalam hal ini saya ingin berkongsi pengalaman saya. Mudah-mudahan ia dapat mencetus idea-idea untuk mengatasi apa yang sedang berlaku dalam masyarakat kita.
Kehidupan ini banyak mengharungi pengalaman yang menyenangkan, memuaskan, memilukan, mendukacitakan dan banyak lagi perasaan-perasaan yang lain. Semuanya dari Allah jua. Apa yang ditakdirkan tetap akan berlaku. Kalau Allah mahu menaikkan seseorang ia akan melambung naik walaupun ramai akan cuba menghalangnya. Begitu juga kalau Ia hendak menduga sesaorang itu dengan kepedihan, keperitan dan kesengsaraan, individu tersebut tetap menghadapi dugaan itu walaupun ramai maknusia cuba melindunginya. Bukan lah saya seorang fatalis. Kita tahu hidup ini bukannya senang dan boleh dipandang enteng saja. Kita perlu ada perancangan dalam keseimbangan tersebut.
Dalam pengalaman saya setiap kejayaan itu ada kosnya dan setiap kegagalan pula ada nikmatnya. Terpulang kepada perspekstif kita dalam memandang sesuatu fenomena yang berlaku itu. Ada kawan kata dalam bala itu ada nikmat dan dalam nikmat pula kalau tidak waspada akan jadi bala.
Pengalaman kerja di empat organisasi banyak mengajar. Mulanya di Kementerian Pertahanan atau masa itu dipanggil Mindef (Kementah), Selepas USM masuk Bank Bumiputra Malaysia Berhad, kemudiannya SAP Holdings Bhd dan akhirnya Bridgecon Bhd.
Interaksi ketiga-aspek tersebut amat kompleks dan kalau kita kurang waspada akan membahayakan dan menjahanamkan kehidupan kita. Sebaliknya kalau kita bijak mengimbangi , kita akan dapat bertahan sebarang ombak dan badai yang melanggar kita. Cabaran iersebut tidak akan dapat meninggalkan apa-apa kesan kepada jiwa dan keutuhan kita. Kehidupan kita akan semakin meningkat persaingannya dan hanya mereka yang yang terang mata kepala dan mata hati yang akan berjaya dunia dan akhirat.
Agama. Ia penting kerana ia menentukan keadaan kita dan keturunan kita di alam yang kekal nanti. Banyak contoh-contoh dalam agama yang boleh jadi senjata melindungi kita. Keadaan kita mutakhir ini apa gejala yang tidak menimpa masyarakat kita. Sistem keluarga mulai lemah. Masyarakat bercelaru. Ini semuanya adalah peroses permodenan dan telah lama berlaku di Barat. Agama sebagai senjata rohani dan jasmani asli kita telah mulai rapuh dan punah. Ini adalah realiti hari ini. Apa perancangan dan tindakan kita menjaga generasi kini dan hadapan? Adakah kita sanggup gadaikan kehidupan yang kekal abadi demi keseronokan dunia yang sementara ini? Apa kah peranan kita diperingkat keluarga kita masing-masing? Apa pula peranan pemimpin masyarakat dan negara? Sama-samalah kita fikirkan perkara ini.
Kerja adalah penting kerana ia punca rezeki dan menentukan yang kita dapat adalah halal dan berkat untuk darah daging dan keberkatan hidup kita, isteri dan anak-anak. Ada ibu bapa yang bermati-matian bekerja di pejabat dan perniagaan. Yang kerja di pejabat penting bertugas dengan ikhlas dan jujur. Tiada curi tulang atau dapat gaji yang tidak berpatutan dengan sumbangan tugasan mereka. Pendapatan begini tentunya tidak berkat. Apa jadi dengan anak-anak bila rezeki sebegini yang dibawa balik ke rumah?
Begitu juga yang dalam dunia korporat. Ada berlaku penyalahgunaankuasa dan rasuah oleh ketamakan. Kadang-kadang saya terfikir juga setiap kali berlaku krisis atau resesi ekonomi adalah disebabkan oleh kerakusan dan ketamakan maknusia yang tidak ada had langsung. Contoh seperti Skim Ponzi oleh Syarikat Bernard Madoff di Amerika yang telah menipu berbillion-billion Dollar duit pelabur-pelabur syarikatnya. Dia kemudiannya dihukum penjara maksima selama 150 tahun.
Di Malaysia pun ramai tokoh korporat yang terjejas bila Ringgit dan Pasaran Saham Malaysia merudum pada tahun 1987. Begitu juga bila ekonomi Amerika meleset pada 2008 , banyak syarikat di Malaysia pun turut terjejas.
Mungkin kah ini satu cara penyucian rezeki yang punca harta tersebut adalah kurang bersih?
Dan Keluarga juga penting kerana apalah ertinya kejayaan kebendaan dan material kiranya keluarga kita kurang sempurna. Ramai mereka yang sibuk membuat harta sampai anak-anak terbiar dan dalam jagaan orang gaji dan bibik-bibik. Boleh dikira dengan jari mereka yang kaya raya dan anak-anak mereka pun turut berjaya. Beruntunglah mereka yang dalam kumpulan ini yang kaya dan hidup senang dan anak-anak mereka berjaya juga dalam kehidupan mereka. Allah maha adil. Yang kaya tidak dapat semua. Yang tidak kaya pun ada bahagian mereka. Kita dapat menyaksi banyak contok anak-anak dari desa, anak guru, pegawai bank dan kerajaan yang anak-anak mereka cemerlang dalam pelajaran. Ramai yang jadi kumpulan profesyenal atau ada PhD. Jadi Profesor, doktor, peguam, arkitek, akauntan dan lain-lain yang akan menjadi landasan kepada generasi berikutnya untuk terus berjaya dan maju.
Sebaliknya ramai anak mereka yang berada yang belajar di luar negeri dan balik dengan tangan kosong tanpa apa-apa kelulusan.
Ada banyak andaian yang boleh dibuat. Fenomena ini adalah universal. Tidak terhad kepada sesuatu kaum atau bangsa.
Hakikatnya siapa yang pandai mengimbangi kehidupan diantara ketiga-tiga aspek tersebut sebenarnya telah menyedia dan memberikan perisai selamat kepada anak-anak dan keturunan mereka.
Dan gulungan ini harus kita jadikan model. Dan diperbanyakkan jumlahnya supaya kecelaruan dalam masyarakat dapat dibendung.

The largest media conglomerate today is Walt Disney Company, whose chairman and CEO, Michael Eisner, is a Jew. The Disney Empire, headed by a man described by one media analyst as a “control freak”, includes several television production companies (Walt Disney Television, Touchstone Television, Buena Vista Television), its own cable network with 14 million subscribers, and two video production companies.
As for feature films, the Walt Disney Picture Group, headed by Joe Roth (also a Jew), includes Touchstone Pictures, Hollywood Pictures, and Caravan Pictures. Disney also owns Miramax Films, run by the Weinstein brothers. When the Disney Company was run by the Gentile Disney family prior to its takeover by Eisner in 1984, it epitomized wholesome, family entertainment. While it still holds the rights to Snow White, under Eisner, the company has expanded into the production of graphic sex and violence. In addition, it has 225 affiliated stations in the United States and is part owner of several European TV companies.
ABC’s cable subsidiary, ESPN, is headed by president and CEO Steven Bornstein, a Jew. This corporation also has a controlling share of Lifetime Television and the Arts & Entertainment Network cable companies. ABC Radio Network owns eleven AM and ten FM stations, again in major cities such as New York, Washington, Los Angeles, and has over 3,400 affiliates. Although primarily a telecommunications company, Capital Cities/ABC earned over $1 billion in publishing in 1994. It owns seven daily newspapers, Fairchild Publications, Chilton Publications, and the Diversified Publishing Group.
Time Warner, Inc, is the second of the international media leviathans. The chairman of the board and CEO, Gerald Levin, is a Jew. Time Warner’s subsidiary HBO is the country’s largest pay-TV cable network. Warner Music is by far the world’s largest record company, with 50 labels, the biggest of which is Warner Brothers Records, headed by Danny Goldberg. Stuart Hersch is president of Warnervision, Warner Music’s video production unit. Goldberg and Hersch are Jews. Warner Music was an early promoter of “gangsta rap.” Through its involvement with Interscope Records, it helped popularize a genre whose graphic lyrics explicitly urge Blacks to commit acts of violence against Whites. In addition to cable and music, Time Warner is heavily involved in the production of feature films (Warner Brothers Studio) and publishing.
Time Warner’s publishing division (editor-in-chief Norman Pearlstine, a Jew) is the largest magazine publisher in the country (Time, Sports Illustrated, People, Fortune). When Ted Turner, a Gentile, made a bid to buy CBS in 1985, there was panic in media boardrooms across the nation. Turner made a fortune in advertising and then had built a successful cable-TV news network, CNN. Although Turner employed a number of Jews in key executive positions in CNN and had never taken public positions contrary to Jewish interests, he is a man with a large ego and a strong personality and was regarded by Chairman William Paley (real name Palinsky, a Jew) and the other Jews at CBS as uncontrollable: a loose cannon who might at some time in the future turn against them.
Furthermore, Jewish newsman Daniel Schorr, who had worked for Turner, publicly charged that his former boss held a personal dislike for Jews. To block Turner’s bid, CBS executives invited billionaire Jewish theater, hotel, insurance, and cigarette magnate Laurence Tisch to launch a “friendly” takeover of the company, and from 1986 till 1995 Tisch was the chairman and CEO of CBS, removing any threat of non-Jewish influence there. Subsequent efforts by Turner to acquire a major network have been obstructed by Levin’s Time Warner, which owns nearly 20 percent of CBS stock and has veto power over major deals.
Viacom, Inc, headed by Sumner Redstone (born Murray Rothstein), a Jew, is the third largest megamedia corporation in the country, with revenues of over $10 billion a year. Viacom, which produces and distributes TV programs for the three largest networks, owns 12 television stations and 12 radio stations. It produces feature films through Paramount Pictures, headed by Jewess Sherry Lansing. Its publishing division includes Prentice Hall, Simon & Schuster, and Pocket Books.
It distributes videos through over 4,000 Blockbuster stores. Viacom’s chief claim to fame, however, is as the world’s largest provider of cable programming, through its Showtime, MTV, Nickelodeon, and other networks. Since 1989, MTV and Nickelodeon have acquired larger and larger shares of the younger television audience. With the top three, and by far the largest, media companies in the hand of Jews, it is difficult to believe that such an overwhelming degree of control came about without a deliberate, concerted effort on their part. What about the other big media companies?
Number four on the list is Rupert Murdoch’s News Corporation, which owns Fox Television and 20th Century Fox Films. Murdoch is a Gentile, but Peter Chermin, who heads Murdoch’s film studio and also oversees his TV production, is a Jew.
Number five is the Japanese Sony Corporation, whose U.S. subsidiary, Sony Corporation of America, is run by Michael Schulhof, a Jew. Alan Levine, another Jew, heads the Sony Pictures division. Most of the television and movie production companies that are not owned by the largest corporations are also controlled by Jews. For example, New World Entertainment, proclaimed by one media analyst as “the premiere independent TV program producer in the United States,” is owned by Ronald Perelman, a Jew.
The best known of the smaller media companies, Dreamworks SKG, is a strictly kosher affair. Dream Works was formed in 1994 amid great media hype by recording industry mogul David Geffen, former Disney Pictures chairman Jeffrey Katzenberg, and film director Steven Spielberg, all three of whom are Jews. The company produces movies, animated films, television programs, and recorded music.
Two other large production companies, MCA and Universal Pictures, are both owned by Seagram Company, Ltd. The president and CEO of Seagram, the liquor giant, is Edgar Bronfman Jr., who is also president of the World Jewish Congress. It is well known that Jews have controlled the production and distribution of films since the inception of the movie industry in the early decades of the 20th century. This is still the case today. Films produced by just the five largest motion picture companies mentioned above-Disney, Warner Brothers, Sony, Paramount (Viacom), and Universal (Seagram)-accounted for 74 per cent of the total box-office receipts for the first eight months of 1995.
The big three in television network broadcasting used to be ABC, CBS, and NBC. With the consolidation of the media empires, these three are no longer independent entities. While they were independent, however, each was controlled by a Jew since its inception: ABC by Leonard Goldenson, CBS first by William Paley and then by Lawrence Tisch, and NBC first by David Sarnoff and then by his son Robert.
Over periods of several decades, these networks were staffed from top to bottom with Jews, and the essential Jewishness of network television did not change when the networks were absorbed by other corporations. The Jewish presence in television news remains particularly strong. As noted, ABC is part of Eisner’s Disney Company, and the executive producers of ABC’s news programs are all Jews: Victor Neufeld (20-20), Bob Reichbloom (Good Morning America), and Rick Kaplan (World News Tonight).
CBS was recently purchased by Westinghouse Electric Corporation. Nevertheless, the man appointed by Lawrence Tisch, Eric Ober, remains president of CBS News, and Ober is a Jew. At NBC, now owned by General Electric, NBC News president Andrew Lack is a Jew, as are executive producers Jeff Zucker (Today), Jeff Gralnick (NBC Nightly News), and Neal Shapiro (Dateline). The Print Media After television news, daily newspapers are the most influential information medium in America. Sixty million of them are sold (and presumably read) each day.
These millions are divided among some 1,500 different publications. One might conclude that the sheer number of different newspapers across America would provide a safeguard against Jewish control and distortion. However, this is not the case. There is less independence, less competition, and much less representation of our interests than a casual observer would think. The days when most cities and even towns had several independently owned newspapers published by local people with close ties to the community are gone.
Today, most “local” newspapers are owned by a rather small number of large companies controlled by executives who live and work hundreds or ever thousands of miles away. The fact is that only about 25 per cent of the country’s 1,500 papers are independently owned; the rest belong to multi-newspaper chains. Only a handful are large enough to maintain independent reporting staffs outside their own communities; the rest depend on these few for all of their national and international news.
The Newhouse empire of Jewish brothers Samuel and Donald Newhouse provides an example of more than the lack of real competition among America’s daily newspapers: it also illustrates the insatiable appetite Jews have shown for all the organs of opinion control on which they could fasten their grip. The Newhouses own 26 daily newspapers, including several large and important ones, such as the Cleveland Plain Dealer, the Newark Star-Ledger, and the New Orleans Times-Picayune; the nation’s largest trade book publishing conglomerate, Random House, with all its subsidiaries; Newhouse Broadcasting, consisting of 12 television broadcasting stations and 87 cable-TV systems, including some of the country’s largest cable networks; the Sunday supplement Parade, with a circulation of more than 22 million copies per week; some two dozen major magazines, including the New Yorker, Vogue, Madmoiselle, Glamour, Vanity Fair, Bride’s, Gentlemen’s Quarterly, Self, House & Garden, and all the other magazines of the wholly owned Conde Nast group.
This Jewish media empire was founded by the late Samuel Newhouse, an immigrant from Russia. The gobbling up of so many newspapers by the Newhouse family was in large degree made possible by the fact that newspapers are not supported by their subscribers, but by their advertisers. It is advertising revenue–not the small change collected from a newspaper’s readers–that largely pays the editor’s salary and yields the owner’s profit. Whenever the large advertisers in a city choose to favor one newspaper over another with their business, the favored newspaper will flourish while its competitor dies.
Since the beginning of the 20th century, when Jewish mercantile power in America became a dominant economic force, there has been a steady rise in the number of American newspapers in Jewish hands, accompanied by a steady decline in the number of competing Gentile newspapers–primarily as a result of selective advertising policies by Jewish merchants. Furthermore, even those newspapers still under Gentile ownership and management are so thoroughly dependent upon Jewish advertising revenue that their editorial and news reporting policies are largely constrained by Jewish likes and dislikes. It holds true in the newspaper business as elsewhere that he who pays the piper calls the tune.
Three Jewish Newspapers
The suppression of competition and the establishment of local monopolies on the dissemination of news and opinion have characterized the rise of Jewish control over America’s newspapers. The resulting ability of the Jews to use the press as an unopposed instrument of Jewish policy could hardly be better illustrated than by the examples of the nation’s three most prestigious and influential newspapers: the New York Times, the Wall Street Journal, and the Washington Post. These three, dominating America’s financial and political capitals, are the newspapers which set the trends and the guidelines for nearly all the others.

Although Turner employed a number of Jews in key executive positions in CNN and had never taken public positions contrary to Jewish interests, he is a man with a large ego and a strong personality and was regarded by Chairman William Paley (real name Palinsky, a Jew) and the other Jews at CBS as uncontrollable: a loose cannon who might at some time in the future turn against them.
Furthermore, Jewish newsman Daniel Schorr, who had worked for Turner, publicly charged that his former boss held a personal dislike for Jews. To block Turner’s bid, CBS executives invited billionaire Jewish theater, hotel, insurance, and cigarette magnate Laurence Tisch to launch a “friendly” takeover of the company, and from 1986 till 1995 Tisch was the chairman and CEO of CBS, removing any threat of non-Jewish influence there. With the top three, and by far the largest, media companies in the hand of Jews, it is difficult to believe that such an overwhelming degree of control came about without a deliberate, concerted effort on their part. It is well known that Jews have controlled the production and distribution of films since the inception of the movie industry in the early decades of the 20th century. This is still the case today. The Newhouse empire of Jewish brothers Samuel and Donald Newhouse provides an example of more than the lack of real competition among America’s daily newspapers: it also illustrates the insatiable appetite Jews have shown for all the organs of opinion control on which they could fasten their grip. The Newhouses own 26 daily newspapers, including several large and important ones, such as the Cleveland Plain Dealer, the Newark Star-Ledger, and the New Orleans Times-Picayune; the nation’s largest trade book publishing conglomerate, Random House, with all its subsidiaries; Newhouse Broadcasting, consisting of 12 television broadcasting stations and 87 cable-TV systems, including some of the country’s largest cable networks; the Sunday supplement Parade, with a circulation of more than 22 million copies per week; some two dozen major magazines, including the New Yorker, Vogue, Madmoiselle, Glamour, Vanity Fair, Bride’s, Gentlemen’s Quarterly, Self, House & Garden, and all the other magazines of the wholly owned Conde Nast group.

POLITICAL PARTY LEADERS NEED TO PAY ATTENTION TO VIEWS OF NGOS - DR MAHATHIR
KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 30 (Bernama) -- Leaders of political parties should pay attention to the views of non-governmental organisations (NGOs) as they reflected the voices of the people.
Former prime minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad said although the number of NGO's was small they played a large role in general elections that could make parties win.
"In elections we do not need to get hundreds of thousands or tens of thousands of votes to win, just 102 will do to ensure victory or loss of a party," he said at a ceremony to launch 'Pertubuhan Perkasa Selangor' here on Saturday.
Dr Mahathir said he himself had lost in the 1969 general election when he failed to defend his Kota Setar Selatan parliamentary seat in Kedah as he was too confident that the Malay voters in the area would support him.
This was because in the 1964 general election he had won the seat by defeating the PIMP, now called Pas, candidate Mohd Shaari Abd Shukor by a majority of 4,210 votes.
"And this was a Malay area. Of the 35,000 voters, only 5,000 were Chinese, Indians and Thais. Because I tried to champion the fate of the Malays I was also of the opinion surely many of them will give me victory," said.
Dr Mahathir said due to thinking he will surely win, he did not pay attention if the Chinese in the constituency would vote for him or not.
As a result in that general Dr Mahathir was defeated by Yusof Rawa of Pas by a majority of 989.
As such, he said, that was why political parties must pay attention to the small groups as they can ensure a party's win in an election.
