RAJA PETRA SON OF KAMARUDIN AND THE SYEDS

I have nothing personal against Raja Petra son of Kamarudin. It is only that after he humiliated my late father's name that I became very angry with him. You can attack someone but be professional about it. Do not be personal and do not dragged in the father's name because there are a number of other children sharing the same father. I could not forgive Raja Petra son of Kamarudin until he apologises to me and all my other siblings. Failure to do so will have its consequences. I will make personal attacks against Raja Petra son of Kamarudin, his father, his mother and his ancestors when it is suitable to do so from time to time. So he should not blame me for this. He is the one who started it in the first place.

So talking about this Raja Petra son of Kamarudin can be very baffling because he may be writing on one topic with a particular spin and on another topic he will be taking another position. In so doing he always contradicted himself. This is because his mind is so distorted and to say the least a bit crazy. Reading his articles reminded me of reading the book Mein Kempf written by Adolf Hitler. So 'cerca merba' as the Penang Malays called it.

A good example of such weird thinking can be found in one of his latest article entitled 'When good is bad and bad is good' where this so called political analyst was commenting on Senator Datuk Syed Ali Al Habshee's statement as quoted by Bernama. The latter stated that subversives and radicals should not be given opportunities to voice out their ideas and views because they pose a threat to the country's peace and stability. Syed Ali was reacting to Datuk Seri Najib's statement in Keningau the previous day that the government would take stern action against any group bent on creating chaos in the country to gain power.

After commenting about Syed Ali's statement, Raja Petra son of Kamarudin went on to attack the Senator personally and dragging-in the Syeds, who are as we know, the descendents of the Holy Prophet. Tuan Syed Hussein Al Attas can vouch for this. I now quote Raja Petra son Kamarudin from his article as follows:

" In case many of you don't know, 'Syed' means his forefathers (not 'four fathers') came from the land of the Prophet Muhammad..................................So Syed Ali's ancestors were probably prisoners brought back from Ethiophia to the Arabian Peninsula as slaves to look after the camels and clean out their shit every morning until the day either they or the camels died"

Then he continued and this is very interesting! " But Malays, being the simple-minded people that they are and a race that is is always awed by anything and everything that allegedly comes from the land of the Prophet, would certainly treat what this descendent of a slave from Ethiophia has to say with great importance (hell, they even made him a Senator). After all, he does carry a 'Syed' in front of his name and all those with a 'Syed' or 'Sharifah' in front of their names are 'special' people because they are are supposed to be descendents of the Prophet (or at least descendents of those who cleaned the shit from the Prophet's camels)".

Now let me ask Raja Petra son of Kamarudin what about your own ancestors? Before that don't you at one time claimed that you are very close to the present Agong whom you claimed as your cousin? How can you claim to be close to Seri Paduka when you make disparaging remarks on the Syeds and Sharifahs. You have humiliated his mother and maternal grandfather. According to Wikipedia, Tuanku's mother is Sharifa Nong Fatima and his maternal grandfather is Sayyid Abdullah, the Tengku Besar of Trengganu. How close a relationship can that be that allows Raja Petra son of Kamarudin the privilege of insulting his own cousin's mother and grandfather!!

And do not forget that the Raja of Perlis is also a Syed. Maybe Raja Petra son of Kamarudin has forgotten that he is in Malaysia and not England where his mother was from.

Coming back to his father. He always mentioned that he is a Bugis. But I have yet to meet someone in Makasar who is a raja. He said he is from the Royal Household of Selangor. But I observed that they are all Tengkus and no Rajas. When I was in school in Sabak Bernam I stayed at the Hostel. The name of the hostel was Asrama Khir Johari. Most of the cooks there were Rajas. Maybe they were the relatives of Raja Petra son of Kamarudin.

Whenever Malay students went to Britain in the pre World War 2 years and also both in the pre independent and post independent years, some of them like to marry English girls just like what Raja Kamarudin (Raja Petra's father) did. When these people came back to Malaysia they feel very proud that they have English wives. But lets check the background of these girls. They are definitely not the creme de la creme (the best of the best) of the British society. These girls may be their landlord's daughters who are willing to marry these students for a good future. They could also be the neighbouring shopkeeper's daughters or grocer's daughters. Or sale assistants at the shops at Oxford Street. For all you know these girls can be anybody. This is not surprising as some of the Asians who went to UK got involved with hookers and subsequently marry them. Is there any wonder then that their children turned out to be very crude and uncultured?

Likewise in the case of Raja Petra son Kamarudin his bahavior is unlike the Bugis people that I know of. I have a lot of Bugis school mates in Sabak Bernam who are my friends until today. They are a very gentle people. So his character is more influenced by his mother's genes. The descendents of the English pirates and whatever the worst of the English culture. Now these children of mixed mariages are proudly portraying themselves as Pan Asians but we Malays nowadays are not as simple-minded as Raja Petra son of Kamarudin would like to think we are. We know the differences between a diamond and a piece of glass. We know that these so called Pan Asians are just half cast like what some of the British colonial writers like Somerset Maugham used to refer to them as 'half cast' in their stories. So is it so great being a half cast? They are unacceptable to the Mat Salleh's society.

If you asked me to choose between the descendents of the Prophet and these descendents of the English pirates I would choose the descendents of the Prophet any time notswithstanding any weaknesses that they have.

The moral of the story is that never undermine other people's ancestors because other people can also undermine your own.

Hi..I saw this blog and was very interested by the comments made by ‘Raja Petra son of Kamarudin’...I was very sad to see that his comments did not portray the truth about the ancestors of Rasulullah SAW..Firstly I strongly believe that we all must unite..we must not fight his arguments with more criticism...It would only lead to more resentment amongst ourselves…Alhamdulillah I too (not in a proud way) happen to understand what it is having such ancestral lineage to be placed in front of your own name as I am a Syed myself..but there is one thing tht we as Syeds must remember...we never chose to be placed in such noble lineage as the Prophet SAW..so that in mind comes great responsibilty with it. We as Syeds must portray good moral character in order to manifest our true spiritual roots..I've always taken this responsibility with much humility because far too often as normal human beings, we have far too many shortcomings and I acknowledge them..I sincerely believe one should never attack one another’s lineage or parentage, for truly in truth we are from Adam..and we were once one nation...Clearly Raja Petra has his personal frustrations which he voices against my family lineage..but instead of being angry or hating this person,I rather take the stand to pray for him (Raja Petra) as I truly believe his views on certain issues concerning Syeds are untrue, especially the comment he made about them carrying the feces of The Prophets SAW camel..the thing is I think those comments are not appropriate if he truly believes in Islam and the Prophets SAW..We must adhere to whatever he (Prophet SAW) commands us with as we should see that he (Prophet SAW) knew best due to the fact that he submitted himself to the Devine Will..so his actions were never from his own which would have been blameworthy otherwise...Anyway at the end of the day I pray for him (Raja Petra) tht Allah opens his heart and endows him with understanding in order tht he may see his own errors..

Dear qippy,
We should pray for this man because some of the articles that he wrote are worrisome. Either he has no real knowledge of Islam or he has become an apostate.
